The Nissan Versa Note may not be around much longer, since according to Nissan’s 2019 order guide, production of the hatchback is scheduled to end in April.
CarsDirect obtained the order guide, which is a big clue that the Versa Note may be phased out of Nissan’s lineup. If that’s the case, it isn’t too surprising, since sales of subcompact cars have continued to slide recently, since buyers prefer crossovers and SUVs.
It looks like the Versa sedan won’t have the same fate as the Versa Note, since the order guides also show that it will be around until at least 2020.
If the Versa Note does end up being discontinued this year, that leaves subcompact hatchback buyers with only a few options. Toyota also killed the Yaris hatchback for the 2019 model year, but it’s rumored that it will return for 2020.
