Maserati has already committed to switching its lineup to fully electric by 2025. Maserati started its electric transition with the recent debut of the GranTurismo that’s available with a fully electric powertrain and the electrified Grecale. Now a new report claims that the next-generation Quattroporte is coming in 2024 and when it does it will only be offered with a fully electric powertrain.

Maserati hasn’t made any announcements about the next Quattroporte, but Autocar is reporting that it will only be offered as an EV. Maserati has already confirmed that production of the Ghibli will end in 2024, which will leave the Quattroporte as the only sedan in Maserati’s lineup. The next-generation Levante is expected to arrive in 2025 and it too will only be offered as an EV.

The next-generation Quattroporte and Levante will be based on the same platform as the 2024 GranTurismo. The platform allows the battery cells to be placed in a T-shaped pack in the center that extends to the area beneath the rear seats.
