To mark its 125th anniversary, Cadillac is putting on display an exclusive take on its most potent SUV. The 2027 Cadillac Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series was unveiled in advance of the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, and it brings a high-performance luxury SUV some unique styling, carbon-fiber touches and an interior of its own. Only 252 will be made, with a price tag of around $239,000 to begin.

This special edition is the first application of the Collector Series treatment to an Escalade, though it follows in the wake of other limited-run V-Series models that have put the brand’s performance credentials on show. For the Escalade-V, Cadillac has been somewhat restrained with the exterior, opting for exclusive finishes and details over any sort of dramatic reworking.

Exterior color choices are Midnight Stone Frost, a shade reserved for the Collector Series, or Vibrant White Tricoat. Either way, the SUV is fitted with 24-inch forged wheels of its own, dark badging and blue brake calipers to offset the otherwise unassuming look. Carbon-fiber has been used for the engine cover, mirror caps, lower rear fascia and grille surround. When one gets in or out of the vehicle, heritage-inspired V-8 puddle lamps make an exclusive statement in honor of Cadillac’s past.

Then there is the matter of personalization. Cadillac is going to let customers pick their own VIN and serial number so collectors can have something of personal import. The numbering on the vehicles will run from 1902 to 2027 in commemoration of the marque’s history.

Santorini Blue Gives the Escalade-V a Unique Interior

The cabin receives a more pronounced change than the outside. An exclusive two-tone Black and Sheer Gray scheme with Santorini Blue accents has been devised by Cadillac to distinguish the Collector Series from the standard model. The blue is everywhere in the cabin, down to the seat belts and contrast stitching. There are also door sill plates lit up for the occasion, interior badging not found elsewhere, top-of-the-line floor mats and a blue key fob to match.

It is not just for style that the Santorini Blue is there. The hue has come to define the V-Series, drawn from the emblem itself. It was seen first on the Project GTP concept and has been put to use on race cars and special editions since. In the case of the Escalade-V, it is a link to the brand’s motorsports side, like the V-Series.R endurance program, even if the purpose of this large SUV and a race car could not be more at odds.

Cadillac’s First Collector Series Escalade

The program was started in 2022 as a means of marking the brand’s performance milestones. Past offerings have been sedans for the most part, such as the 2026 CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series which saw off Cadillac’s move into Formula 1. Now the tradition is being extended to the flagship SUV.

Mechanically, however, the Collector Series is no different from the regular Escalade-V. Cadillac has not put forward any upgrades, implying the draw is in the exclusivity. And there is no need for extra power when the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 on hand puts out 682 horsepower and 653 pound-feet of torque through a 10-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. It is already one of the most formidable full-size luxury SUVs you can buy.

For those who want the Collector Series, the scarcity is the point. At 252 units it will be much rarer than your average Escalade-V, and the option to choose a VIN is something the old hands at Cadillac will appreciate.

Orders for the 2027 125th Anniversary Collector Series are being taken in the U.S. and Canada at prices from about $239,000, destination included.
