A few months ago Buick unveiled its new Envista crossover in China and now Buick has confirmed that the Envista will be sold in the United States as well.

“[The Buick Envista is] already in production in China, off the design of the Buick Wildcat. Getting ready for the United States here as well; just a beautiful addition to the Buick line-up,” General Motors president Mark Reuss stated during a recent conference call.

Right now that’s all that we know about the Envista. Which means we don’t know when it will be introduced or where it will be built for the US market. GM Authority predicts that the Envista will be added to Buick’s lineup for the 2024 model year.

In China the Envista sits above the Encore GX in Buick’s lineup. The Chinese-spec Envista is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 181 horsepower and it can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.9 seconds. Inside there’s a 10.25-inch touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster.
