BMW has already released a teaser of the BMW i8 Roadster and now it’s being reported that it will debut in November at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show. Following its debut in LA, the i8 Roadster will go on sale alongside the refreshed i8 Coupe early next year.

The i8 Roadster was teased last month and is expected to look pretty close to the i8 Spyder concept from five years ago. The i8 Roadster will get the same updates as the i8 Coupe, which is expected to get a freshened exterior, a longer electric driving range and more power.

The updates to the i8 will hopefully boost i8 sales, which were down 30 percent in 2016. An all-new i8 is expected in 2022, which will likely switch to a fully electric powertrain from the current plug-in hybrid system.
