We love the Ioniq 5, so we’re eager to see Hyundai’s next electric vehicle, the Ioniq 6 sedan. It was reported that Hyundai was supposed to reveal the Ioniq 6 back in March or April, but now a new report claims that it will debut on July 14.

Hyundai Prophecy Concept

The Korean Car Blog is reporting that the 2023 Ioniq 6 will debut next month. It’s not entirely known why Hyundai delayed the debut of the Ioniq 6, but according to the report, Hyundai Chairman Chung Eui-sun requested some changes to the EV ahead of its debut. These changes included modifying the front and rear bumpers to make them more aerodynamic.

We do know that the Ioniq 6 will be inspired by the Prophecy concept that debuted in 2020 that you see here. It’s based on the same E-GMP platform as the Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. Following the debut of the Ioniq 6, Hyundai will add another model to the Ioniq family, the Ioniq 7 SUV, which is coming for 2024.
