We have some big news about Volkswagen’s electric vehicles, since VW has confirmed that it will add a sportier GTX version of every ID. model in its lineup. This includes the ID. Buzz, which follows the introduction of the ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX models.
In a press release about the ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX, Silke Bagschik, Head of Sales and Marketing for the ID. family, states, “The success of the ID.4 GTX and ID.5 GTX confirms our strategy of positioning the GTX brand independently. Both models in their respective series have installation rates of almost 40 percent. We will continuously expand this brand and offer a GTX variant for every ID model in (the) future—from the ID.3 to the ID. Buzz.”
We don’t have a confirmation about the extra performance that we can expect from the ID.Buzz GTX, but it will likely get a front-mounted electric motor to give it more power.
Right now, VW has yet to introduce a GTX version of the ID.4 in the U.S., but the ID.4 GTX does have the same power as the ID.4 Pro model that we get.
