The VW ID. Buzz electric van is almost here, since Volkswagen has announced that it has started production of the ID. Buzz Cargo and serial production of the ID. Buzz at its plant in Hannover.
“The start of serial production of the all-electric ID. Buzz is an important milestone in the electrification of our fleet and for the manufacturing operation at the Hannover site. The vehicle is a key pillar in the full utilization of our factory and is thus safeguarding the future of the site. Now it’s finally here, a moment that the staff at VWCV have worked hard towards over the past years. I thank everyone for this great team effort!” stated Carsten Intra, Chairman of the Brand Management Board of VWCV.
VW is already taking orders for the ID. Buzz in Europe, but here in the U.S. we will have to wait until next year, when the US-spec version is unveiled. The version offered on our shores will be an extended wheelbase version of the EV sold in Europe.
