Volvo has released several teasers of the new compact 2019 Volvo XC40 crossover, but this is our most revealing yet. With this sneak peek at the XC40’s face, Volvo also announced that the XC40 will debut next week on September 21.
The Volvo XC40 will be the first new model from Volvo’s new 40 Series lineup. It will be based on Volvo’s new CMA platform and offer several safety technologies, like semi-autonomous Pilot Assist system, City Safety, Run-off Road protection and mitigation, Cross Traffic alert with auto brake and a 360-degree camera.
Since the XC40 will be Volvo’s smallest crossover, Volvo’s designers works hard to maximize the storage and space of its interior. For example the speakers were removed from the doors to provide more storage space and instead Volvo developed a new air-ventilated dashboard mounted sub-woofer.
