Nissan has released all the pricing details for the second-generation 2018 Nissan Leaf, which debuted just over a week ago. The 2018 Leaf will be offered in S, SV and SL trim levels, with the base Leaf S starting at $30,875 with the destination fees.
Although the new Leaf has a 40 percent longer driving range at 150 miles and more power and features, it actually starts $690 lower than the outgoing model. The base Leaf S even comes with the new e-Pedal system and Automatic Emergency Braking.
If you step up to the Leaf SV model, it’s priced at $33,375 and adds Intelligent Cruise Control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2018 Leaf SV is $1,700 cheaper than the 2017 SV. The top 20198 Leaf SL starts at $37,085 and adds a Bose audio system, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Intelligent Around View Monitor and a portable L1/L2 charging cord. The Leaf SL is $590 cheaper than the 2017 model, but manages to add up to $6,800 worth of added features.
The 2018 Nissan Leaf will go on sale early next year. If you were hoping for a longer driving range, Nissan has already confirmed that another version of the Leaf is coming for 2019 with a longer driving range. It’s being reported that the 2019 Nissan Leaf will offer a second battery option that will give it a 225 mile driving range.
