Volkswagen is getting ready to unveil its first electric sedan, the ID. Aero. The EV is designed for the Chinese market and will debut as a pre-production study on June 27.
VW says that the production version of the ID. Aero will go on sale in the second half of 2023 in China. It is based on the same Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform as the ID. Buzz and ID.4 EVs.
The good news is that the ID. Aero will also be offered in North America and Europe and we’ll get to see it debut sometime in 2023. Production for the European and North American markets will take place at VW’s plant in Emden.
