A new report claims that the 2022 Toyota C-HR is going to drop the base LE trim level, which means that it will now start over $25k, making its entry point a lot higher than rivals, like the Honda HR-V.

Cars Direct has received the Toyota’s order guide for the 2022 C-HR, which shows that the new base model will be the XLE trim level, which starts at $25,095. That’s a big jump for buyers that are looking for a C-HR, since the 2021 C-HR LE starts at $22,910.

Toyota has yet to make any announcements about the 2022 C-HR, but if this report is accurate, the C-HR will be priced higher than Toyota’s newest crossover, the Corolla Cross. The pricing for the Corolla Cross starts at $23,410.
