Toyota has really upped its performance game with its lineup of Gazoo Racing (GR) sports cars that finally injected some fun into Toyota’s lineup that we’d been asking for, for years. We love the GR86, GR Supra and the newest arrival, the GR Corolla, but it looks like Toyota isn’t stopping there.

In an interview with Autocar, Toyota’s new CEO Koji Sato hinted that Toyota is working on additional GR-branded models. He also suggested that their development could be sped up by former CEO, Akio Toyoda, who had a big role in the creation of the GR models.

“Our Master Driver was also president of the company at the same time as he had a steering wheel in his hand for Gazoo. Now he is only chairman maybe he will have a lot more time to develop cars for them?”
Toyota hasn’t revealed what other GR models are coming, but there have been hints at a GR bZ4X electric crossover. A small two-seater sports car could also be in the works.
