Subaru is giving the BRZ a few updates for the 2018 model year, following the more significant updates that it received last year. The 2018 Subaru BRZ gets a new infotainment system, but the bigger update is the addition of a new optional Performance Package.

The new Performance Package is available on the Limited trim level with the manual transmission. It adds an upgraded braking system with Brembo four-piston calipers and rotors on the front and dual- piston calipers and rotors on the rear, plus SACHS Performance shock absorbers. the package also adds unique 17-inch black alloy wheels. Sadly there are no upgrades under the hood, but if you want to add the package, it’s priced at only $1,195.

The 2018 BRZ is still powered by a 205-hp 2.0L four-cylinder boxer engine that’s mated to a six-speed manual transmission. If you choose the optional automatic transmission you’ll lose five horsepower.

All BRZ models not only get an updated infotainment system, but it now has Welcome Lighting, which provides better nighttime visibility when approaching or exiting the vehicle. The headlights also automatically turn on now when the wipers are activated and the turn signal is now easier to use with a one touch lane feature. Lastly the shift handle is now wrapped in high-grade leather with either transmission choice.

The 2018 Subaru BRZ is available in two trims: Premium and Limited. The base Premium model starts at $26,455 with the destination fees and the Limited starts at $29,305.
