MINI Coupe and Roadster Are Done, Production to End Next Year

The MINI Coupe and Roadster models are about to go bye bye. MINI USA’s Product Planning Manager Patrick McKenna recently confirmed that both models will go out of production at some point next year.
They’ve run their life cycle,” McKenna said in an interview with AutoGuide.

Both models have sold in limited volumes, which is likely because they were both deemed too small compared to the other models in MINI’s lineup. According to McKenna the decision to discontinue both the Coupe and Roadster models is part of a larger “superhero strategy.” Basically the plan is to focus on higher volume models rather than niche models.
