Chevy Cobalt Still Lives in South America

GM may have killed the Chevy Cobalt in the US, but it’s still living south of us. In addition to the Chevy Colorado Rally Concept, GM is also showing off the Chevy Cobalt concept at the Buenos Aires International Motor Show.

The Chevy Cobalt concept looks nothing like the lame compact sedan that the Cruze replaced here. Although it’s being labeled as a “concept” this sedan is pretty much destined for consumption in South America. GM says that the Cobalt is powered by various engines ranging in size from 1.3 to 1.8 liters, that can be run on gas, diesel or ethanol.

The styling of the Cobalt concept adopts Chevy’s current design language, but doesn’t look quite as “sporty” as the Cruze. Inside the interior is far better than the old Cobalt and it looks like the Cobalt concept has a similar tachometer/ speedometer layout as the 2012 Chevy Sonic.
