GM has announced the pricing for the 2012 Chevy Sonic, which will go on sale this fall. the 2012 Chevy Sonic starts at $14,495, which includes the destination fees.
The 2012 Chevy Sonic sub-compact will be available in both sedan and hatchback versions. It comes standard with air conditioning, power door locks, remote keyless entry and 15″ alloy wheels. The standard engine in the case Sonic LS is a 138-hp 1.8L Ecotec engine that is mated to a five-speed manual. A six-speed automatic can be added to the 1.8L for an additional $1,070. The Sonic LT starts at $15,695 and gets a six-speaker audio system, power windows, heated side mirrors and front seats, cruise control and standard 17-inch alloy wheels. The LT and LTZ models can be outfitted with the 138-hp 1.4L turbocharged engine and six-speed manual transmission for $700. The 1.4L is expected to get 40 mpg on the highway.
