Yesterday Nissan announced that the 2020 Nissan Armada SUV is now on sale, but today we likely have a preview of the new Armada. Nissan has unveiled the 2020 Patrol, which is sold globally. Here in the US, the Armada is heavily based on the Patrol, so it’s expected that many the new Patrol will show up here next year as the 2021 Armada.
Compared to the current Armada, the 2020 Patrol gets a more angular face with a new interpretation of Nissan’s V-motion grille, boomerang-shaped LED headlights and a redesigned grille. The rear also gets new boomerang shaped taillights.
Inside there are bigger updates, like a new center console that incorporates dual displays with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The interior also gets new diamond-stitch quilted leather seats with added padding and a new hand-stitched steering wheel.
The Patrol is offered with both V6 and V8 engines, but its expected that the 2021 Armada will continue to only be offered with the 5.6L V8.
