Lexus Trademarks LC 500 and LC 500h, Likely Production Version of LF-LC Concept

Lexus has reportedly filed trademarks for the LC 500 and LC 500h names, which furthers speculation that Lexus intends to produce the LF-LC concept.

Lexus has reportedly filed trademarks for the LC 500 and LC 500h names, which furthers speculation that Lexus intends to produce the LF-LC concept. It was rumored that the production version of the LF-LC concept would revive the SC name.
The registered names also give a preview of what will power the new coupe. The LC 500 will likely be powered by the same 467- hp 5.0L V8 as the RC F, while the LC 500h will be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 and an electric motor which could have a combined output of more than 500 horsepower.

A time frame isn’t completely clear, with some reports stating that the LC coupe could arrive in 2016, while other reports claim a 2017 arrival date.
