Lexus LF-C2 Debuts in LA and Previews an RC Convertible

Lexus hasn’t officially confirmed plans to build a confirmed plans to build a convertible version of the RC, but it has been rumored. Now we have a look at what the convertible may look like with the debut of the LF-C2 concept that debuted today at the LA Auto Show.

The LF-C2 concept basically looks like a drop top version of the RC with its 2+2 layout. Painted in golden yellow, the LF-C2 takes many of the RC Coupe’s design cues to a new level. The trademark spindle grille is now even more aggressive and the LED daytime running lights are bigger.

Inside the LF-C2 concept gets white and gray leather seats and a unique dashboard design with a central video monitor that is controlled by a remote touchpad.

“The LF-C2 concept shows what’s in store for our brand’s future design direction,” said Jeff Bracken, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “This concept shows consumers around the world Lexus’ devotion to emotional designs as well as our passion for an exceptional driving experience.”
