Chevrolet has unveiled a new concept version of the Colorado pickup, the Colorado ZR2 at the LA Auto Show. The Colorado ZR2 concept is ready to showcase the midsize truck’s off-road capability and it also reveals the new 2.8L diesel engine that will be offered next year.
Chevrolet has unveiled a new concept version of the Colorado pickup, the Colorado ZR2 at the LA Auto Show. The Colorado ZR2 concept is ready to showcase the midsize truck’s off-road capability and it also reveals the new 2.8L diesel engine that will be offered next year.
The Colorado ZR2 is four inches wider than the production Colorado Z71. It features unique front and rear fascias that are designed to increase approach and departure angles when driving off road. Ground clearance and rough terrain are handled with a two-inch lift and integral skid plates.

The new 2.8L Duramax diesel engine generates 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque and is mated to a standard six-speed automatic transmission.
