Honda has announced that the restyled 2019 Honda HR-V is available now at dealers, starting at $21,515. The 2019 HR-V gets updated styling, more available tech features and two new trim levels.
The 2019 Honda HR-V has been updated with restyled bumpers, headlights, grille, and taillights. The new HR-V Sport features unique lower body trim, painted glossy black on the lower front and rear bumper, rocker panels, and wheel arches, as well as the gloss-black exterior mirrors. The HR-V Sport also gets a honeycomb pattern grille, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, and a chrome exhaust finisher. The new HR-V Touring model adds LED headlights, dark chrome trim, LED fog lights and unique 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the 2019 HR-V HR-V gets a new Display Audio system that adds a volume knob. The audio system also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The navigation system, which is only available on the Touring trim level, has been improved with sharper graphics and 3D landmarks. In front of the driver there’s redesigned gauges and EX models and above receive a 4.2-inch Thin-Film Transistor (TFT) Driver Information Interface color display.
The HR-V Sport trim get a unique with a black headliner, gloss-black trim and sport pedals, while EX and EX-L models get updated seats. Touring models get double-stitched leather-trimmed seats and an 8-way power driver’s seat.
The 2019 HR-V is powered by a 141 horsepower, 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that’s now mated exclusively to a CVT transmission. The six-speed manual is no longer offered. Buyers can also choose either front- or all-wheel drive. While the engine didn’t get any updates, the HR-V’s CVT has been updated with revised shift mapping to make it feel more like a conventional automatic transmission. The 2019 HR-V also gets additional sound absorbing materials in the firewall, under the floor, and in the passenger-side foot well. Sport trims and higher also receive Active Noise Cancellation.
Lastly, 2019 HR-V EX and higher trims come standard with the Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive systems, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System and Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning.
