Currently the Fiesta ST is the top version of the Fiesta, but Ford Performance manager Tyrone Johnson recently confirmed to Autocar that a higher-performance Fiesta is in the works. Johnson wouldn’t confirm if it will be badged as an RS or just replace the current ST, but he did state that it will be based on the current chassis when it arrives in the next two and half years.

Johnson also confirmed that the Fiesta ST diesel is going to get a Powershift dual-clutch automatic later this year, but Ford hasn’t decided if the gas-powered ST will get the same transmission.
