A new report claims that Ford is currently working on two midsize electric crossovers for the Ford and Lincoln brands, which will arrive for the 2023 model year.

According to Automotive News, the new electric crossovers codenamed, CDX746 and CDX747 will be built at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan. Sources have revealed that the crossovers will be about the same size as the Ford Edge and Lincoln Nautilus, but they will be built on a new electric vehicle platform.

Production is expected to begin in late 2022 or early 2023. The new midsize electric crossovers aren’t the only electrified vehicles that Ford is working on, since it’s already confirmed the Mustang-inspired crossover and an electric F-150.
