Lucid, the EV start up that’s launching with the Air electric sedan, has announced that it will start delivering its first cars this weekend. Customers that ordered the Air Dream Edition in either the Range or Performance version will start receiving their cars on October 30.
Lucid is going to celebrate the occasion with a special Dream Delivery event in California. As part of the event customers will also get to experience the “Lucid Rally”, which is a route that showcases the Air’s ride, handling and performance capabilities.
“Creating the Lucid Air has truly been a labor of love, with customer deliveries representing the culmination of years of endeavor from the entire Lucid team,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO, Lucid Group. “So I’m truly excited to hand the keys to our first dear customers and accompany them on an inaugural drive through the iconic California countryside.”
Lucid plans to deliver the 520 Lucid Air Dream Editions, which will then be followed by the Grand Touring, Touring and Pure models in 2022.
