Lucid has some big news today, since it has announced that the EPA has rated the Air Dream Edition Range at 520 miles. That means that it now holds the title as the longest-range electric vehicle ever rated by the EPA.

The Lucid Air Dream Edition Range easily beats the 415-mile Tesla Model S Long Range.

“I’m delighted that our Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has been officially accredited with a range of 520 miles by the EPA, a number I believe to be a new record for any EV. Crucially, this landmark has been achieved by Lucid’s world-leading in-house EV technology, not by simply installing an oversize battery pack,” said Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO, Lucid Group. “Our race-proven 900V battery and BMS technology, our miniaturized drive units, coupled with our Wunderbox technology endow Lucid Air with ultra-high efficiency, enabling it to travel more miles from less battery energy. The next generation EV has truly arrived!”

The Air Dream Edition Range with the 520 mile range is equipped with 19-inch wheels, but if you opt for the larger 21-inch wheels it still has a nice range at 481 miles. The Dream Edition Range has 933 horsepower, but the Dream Edition Performance has a whopping 1,111 hp. The Performance version has a 471 mile range on 19-inch wheels and 451 mile range with 21-inch wheels.

Lucid is also offering the Grand Touring version with 800 hp and up to 516 miles of range.

The Air Dream Edition is already sold out, so that means you can get the Grand Touring for $139,000, the Touring model for $95,000 and the base Pure for $77,400. The Pure model has a 406 mile range.
