It’s taken quite a while, but Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has announced that the Model X SUV is set to debut in September. In an official letter, Musk discussed the status of the Model X and that the Tesla is currently “building more validation vehicles, executing final engineering and testing work, enabling our new manufacturing equipment and finalizing arrangements with our suppliers.”

The first deliveries are expected to start shortly after the debut of the Model X. Keep in mind that we still haven’t seen the official production version of the Model X, but the production version will feature the same unique Falcon Wing doors as the concept. It will also be powered by a dual-motor electric all-wheel-drive system, that will be similar to the system that powers the Model S.
Stay tuned.
