Bugatti is getting ready to unveil its latest model on August 24 – the Bugatti Divo. Bugatti’s latest hypercar is named after Albert Divo, the French racing driver who won the Targa Florio race in Sicily for Bugatti twice in the late 1920s.

Bugatti has released this teaser of the Divo, but most of the juicy details are being kept locked away until the Divo’s debut next month. Bugatti has revealed that only 40 examples will be produced with a price tag starting at $5.8 million (€5 million).

Bugatti hints at the Divo’s performance, “Its lighter weight and agility, higher downforce and greater g-forces promise significantly better handling properties.” This means that the Bugatti Divo should out perform the Chiron Sport. A new transmission is also reportedly part of the upgrades, which should help the Divo reach 62 mph in under 2.5 seconds.

“Happiness is not around the corner. It is the corner. The Divo is made for corners,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. “With this project, the Bugatti team has an opportunity to interpret the brand DNA in terms of agile, nimble handling in a significantly more performance-oriented way.”
