According to the latest rumors, Audi is working on a new smaller crossover that will be smaller than the current Q3, dubbed the Q1.
According to the latest rumors, Audi is working on a new smaller crossover that will be smaller than the current Q3. If the rumor is true it will likely be called the Q1 and will be based heavily on the small Audi A1.
Autobild is reporting that the Q1 will arrive sometime in 2016 and will be powered by either a 1.4L gas engine or a 1.4L diesel. Audi will also offer a more powerful SQ1 with a 231-hp 2.0L engine and a hybrid version is also expected. One interesting detail is that even though it will have extra ground clearance and SUV-like styling, it will not be offered with all-wheel-drive.
If the rumors are true, don’t expect the small Q1 to come to the U.S.
