With BMW and Mercedes-Benz both announcing new pilots for their subscription services, we’re now waiting to hear if Audi is going to launch its own subscription service. Cadillac, Volvo and Porsche have already launched their subscription services and now Audi has hinted that it’s looking at introducing one as well.

In a recent interview with Digital Trends, Filip Brabec, Audi’s vice president of product management stated, “A subscription service is something that is being looked at in general. It may or may not be tied to an electric car. But it’s an interesting aspect of the business many are announcing, and we look at it as a new area of business. I don’t have a specific, concrete announcement at this point, but I wouldn’t say it would only be relevant to an electric car.”

We’ll have to wait and see what type of subscription service that Audi decides to launch. Several automakers have jumped on the bandwagon, but not all of the subscription services are the same. For example, Volvo’s subscription service only gives you access to one vehicle with a monthly fee, while Porsche and BMW give you access to a range of models.
