Toyota has unveiled the all-new 2013 Auris hatchback, which will be sold in Europe and Japan. According to Toyota, the all-new 2013 Auris has “improved dynamics, more distinctive styling and higher equipment levels, while also being cheaper to run.” Toyota also says that the new Auris is the latest Toyota to that shows Toyota’s determination to engineer cars that are more appealing and engaging to drive. What do you think?
The all-new Auris features a more confident exterior with the new “face” of Toyota in the design of its grille and the sharp-edged appearance of its headlights and LED daytime running lights. Inside the interior is more spacious than before and the Auris also gets Toyota’s new Skyview panoramic roof, which is one of the largest panoramic roofs in the segment.
Buyers in Europe will have the choice of a hybrid powertrain, 1.4L diesel and 1.3L and 1.6L gas engines to power their Auris. The new Auris will be built exclusively at Toyota’s Burnaston factory in the UK. The new model will be given its European premiere on September 27th at the Paris motor show, with petrol, diesel and full hybrid versions on display.
Toyota has no plans to sell the Auris in the United States, although it would be a nice replacement for the Matrix.
