We’ve been waiting to see what Honda has planned for the next-generation Accord and here is our first look. Patent images filed with the Brazilian government have leaked online, giving us a good look at what to expect with the 2023 Accord.
The overall shape of the 2023 Accord isn’t a big departure from the current version, but the patent images reveal new headlights, a different grille and a new front bumper. At the rear the design is completely new with new taillights and styling that is similar to the Civic.
Honda hasn’t released any details about the next-generation Accord, so we don’t know what updates it will get under the hood. A hybrid version is expected and we’ll have to wait and see if the current 1.5- and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines remain part of the mix.
Stay tuned. Honda has not announced when the new Accord will debut. For now we have the upcoming debut of the 2023 Civic Type R, which follows the new CR-V. The next-generation Pilot is also going to debut this year.
