Chevy may have recently unveiled two of its upcoming electric SUVs, but it isn’t ready to throw in the towel yet for its gas powered SUVs. Chevy has unveiled the redesigned 2024 Trax. The new Trax is larger than the outgoing model with more sophisticated styling and better features.

The 2024 Chevy Trax is longer, lower and wider than its predecessor. The four-inch lower height gives the Trax a more planted look and with its more muscular styling, it looks sportier. It also has a six-inch longer wheelbase, which provides more interior space. “The bold exterior and tech-forward interior design of the all-new Trax redefines what an entry-level vehicle can be,” said Phil Zak, executive design director, Global Chevrolet. “It demonstrates that modern, stylish design doesn’t have to come at a premium.”

That larger footprint means that there’s a lot more space inside the new Trax. There’s three inches more rear legroom and the cargo capacity has increased by almost 12 percent. Inside there LS and 1RS trims feature an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, while LT, 2RS and ACTIV versions have an 11-inch infotainment touchscreen and an 8-inch driver information center. The Trax also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It’s powered by a 1.2L turbocharged inline-three engine with 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, that’s mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2024 Chevy Trax is slated to go on sale in the spring of 2023 and the pricing starts at $23,195, not including destination.
