The Equinox EV is based on GM’s Ultium platform, just like the other models. It has a price tag that starts around $30,000 and it will have a driving range up to 300 miles. The standard version is powered by a single electric motor that powers the front wheels and has 210 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. A dual motor all-wheel drive version has 290 hp and 346 lb-ft. of torque.

The Equinox EV will be available in 1LT, 2lT, 3LT, 2RS and 3RS trims. The base 1LT with the single motor has 250 miles of range, but that can be bumped up to 300 miles. With the eAWD dual motor version it has 280 miles of range. The 2LT, 3LT, 2RS and 3RS models comes standard with 300 miles of range with FWD and 280 miles with the eAWD system.

Using a DC Fast Charger, the Equinox EV can charge up to 150kW, which adds 70 miles of range in 10 minutes. The standard 11.5 kW Level 2 charger can add up to 34 miles per hour and the 19.2 kW Level 2 charger on the 3RS eAWD can add 51 miles of range per hour.
