Volkswagen has announced the updates to the 2023 Golf R and GTI models. Both hatches were redone for the 2022 model year, so the only big news for 2023 are the additions of the new anniversary editions.
The 2023 GTI is available in a 40th Anniversary Edition, that slots in between the S and SE trim levels. It adds performance LED headlights, LED fog lights with Active Cornering Lights, and some minor styling changes. VW hasn’t announced the pricing or released any photos of the 40th Anniversary Edition. The pricing for the 2023 Golf GTI starts at $31,275, including destination.
The 2023 Golf R is getting a 20th Anniversary Edition, but VW has not released any other details about it, only saying that more details are coming later. The 2023 Golf R starts at $45,385.
