The Kia Telluride is easily one of our favorite three-row SUVs and now it’s even better with the arrival of the updated 2023 Telluride, which has debuted at the New York Auto Show.

Starting with the styling changes, the 2023 Telluride gets restyled headlights and taillights, new bumpers, an updated grille and new wheel designs. Inside the dashboard now features a new curved housing that combines the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the optional 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster. There’s also a new steering wheel and updated air vents.

The 2023 Telluride adds the more rugged X-Line and X-Pro trim levels. The X-Line adds a 0.4-inch ride height to improve the approach and departure angles, special 20-inch wheels, different traction control settings and a towing mode. The Telluride X-Pro rides on smaller 18-inch wheels, but gets the same increased ground clearance and a higher tow rating (5,500 pounds vs 5,000).

The 2023 Telluride is powered by the same 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is available. On the safety front traffic sign recognition is now standard and the forward-collision avoidance system has received some updates to help it detect oncoming vehicles when turning left at intersections.
