The 2023 Hyundai Palisade SUV is getting a nice facelift for the new model years as part of a midcycle refresh. Hyundai has unveiled the 2023 Palisade at the New York Auto Show.

The biggest change is at the front where the Palisade gets a new grille and headlights that give it more aggressive face. The bumpers have also been restyled and the Palisade rides on new wheels. The 2023 Palisade also gets the more rugged XRT trim level, which adds dark 20-inch wheels, a more rugged front and rear fascia, a dark grille and leatherette seats.

Inside there are some changes as well, the instrument panel, gauge cluster and audio interface have been redesigned. A new 12-inch infotainment display with 720p resolution is available, in addition to a Wi-Fi hotspot, USB-C ports and a more powerful wireless charging system. Driver’s can also use the Digital Key 2 Touch feature to unlock and operate the Palisade with just an iPhone, Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy. There’s also a new steering wheel, updated seats and third row heated seats.

To make it safer, the Palisade now has rear side impact airbags.

Under the hood there’s still only one engine available, a 3.8-liter V6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. There’s a new Tow Mode that makes the transmission hold the lower gears longer to help when towing stuff.

The 2023 Hyundai Palisade will arrive this summer.
