Kia hasn’t announced the updates to the 2023 K5 sedan, but a new report sheds some light on the updates. The biggest news, according to an order guide that was discovered by CarsDirect, is that the 2023 K5 will lose the entry-level LX trim.

2022 Kia K5

According to the order guide, the LX trim level has been discontinued, leaving the LXS as the new entry-level trim for the K5. As you’d expect, this means that the starting price for the 2023 K5 will be higher with the K5 LXS starting at $26,185, including destination. That price is $300 more than the 2022 version and $1,300 more than the 2022 K5 LX.

The same report also reveals that Kia is limiting the all-wheel drive version to a single trim for the new model year. Currently the K5 is available with AWD if you select either the LXS or GT-Line trim. Now the 2023 K5 GT-Line is the only version available with all-wheel drive, which starts at $29,285.

The future of the Kia K5 is uncertain, since there have been reports that Kia is planning to discontinue both the Stinger and K5.
