Subaru recently unveiled 2022 Outback Wilderness, a more adventure ready version of the high riding wagon. Now we have the full pricing, which starts at $38,120, including destination.
The Outback Wilderness has a modified suspension, which increases the ground clearance to 9.5-inches from 8.7. The front and rear fascias have also been updated and along with the increased ground clearance, the approach, ramp break-over and departure angles have been improved to 20.0, 21.2 and 23.6 degrees, respectively.
The Outback Wilderness also gets unique 17-inch wheels with Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires. The final drive ratio has also been revised from 4.11:1 to 4.44:1, which adds more low-end torque.
Under the hood it’s powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged flat-4, which generates 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.
Inside the seats are wrapped in StarTex fabric that repels water, while the back of the second row has a new waterproof material that makes it easier to clean.
The 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness will arrive this summer.
