The 2021 Mazda CX-30 has just earned the Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), its highest rating possible.

To qualify for the Top Safety Pick+ award a vehicle must receive good ratings in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests, including the driver-side small overlap front, passenger-side small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraint tests.

The 2021 CX-30 also achieved superior ratings for both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian front crash prevention, and models build after September 2020 are equipped with headlights that received a good rating.

The CX-30 joins the 2021 Mazda3 Sedan and Hatchback, Mazda6, CX-3, CX-5 and CX-9, all of which have received the Top Safety Pick+ rating.
