The refreshed 2019 Mazda CX-3 is going to arrive in showrooms this month and now Mazda has announced that the pricing will start at $21,365. The updated 2019 Mazda CX-3 gets some small updates that should make it more fun to drive and a little more comfortable.
Inside the 2019 Mazda CX-3 has improved materials, more sound insulation and a standard electronic parking brake. The center console and center armrest have also been redesigned, to provide more storage space in the front (something it definitely needed). The front seats have also been redesigned and there’s a new leather seat option. On the outside, the changes are small and only include a new grille and redesigned taillights and wheels.
The 2019 Mazda CX-3 is powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that’s mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The engine has been refined a bit and now has two more horsepower for a total of 148 horsepower and 146 lb-ft. of torque. All-wheel drive is an option and in addition to the engine updates, the suspension has been retuned to provide a smoother ride. The power steering has also been recalibrated.
The CX-3 is offered in Sport, Touring and Grand Touring trim levels. The CX-3 Sport comes standard with a new tire pressure monitoring system, Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, power windows, locks and mirrors, a push-button start, two USB ports, 16-inch alloy wheels, rearview camera and Bluetooth. There’s also the 7-inch infotainment system, but Mazda makes no mentions about the CX-3 offering Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Smart City Brake Support is also standard.
If safety is your priority, the new Sport i-Activsense package adds Smart City Brake Support with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Brake Support, Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Control, Adaptive Front-lighting System, Active Driving Display, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic climate control, automatic on/off LED headlights and LED combination tail lights.
The CX-3 Touring adds 18-inch wheels, keyless entry, heated side mirrors, auto headlights, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, leatherette seats and new piano black pillar accents. The Touring i-Activesense package is also available and a Touring Preferred package adds a Bose 7-speaker audio system, moonroof, Sirius XM satellite radio, HD radio and a cargo cover.
The top spec CX-3 Grand Touring adds leather seats, chrome accents, a head-up display, moonroof, adaptive LED headlights, LED fog lights, LED daytime running lights, a navigation system and paddle shifters. The Grand Touring Premium Package adds a 6-way power driver’s seat, power driver’s lumbar support, 2-position driver memory system, heated steering wheel, Traffic Sign Recognition and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
