Acura is giving the 2018 Acura TLX a facelift, a new A-Spec model and more features. While the 2018 TLX has been “significantly enhanced,” the first change that you’ll most likely notice is the new face, which is inspired by the Acura Precision Concept that debuted last year.
The 2018 TLX does look a bit more aggressive now with its diamond pentagon grille at the front and restyled rear fascia. Other updates include a new front bumper, more sculpted hood, fenders, redesigned Jewel Eye headlights. The V6 model gets a refreshed rear fascia with new dual-exhaust finishers, a rear diffuser and standard 18-inch wheels. The 2018 TLX will continue to offer either a 206-hp 2.4L four-cylinder or a 290-hp 3.5L V6. The V6 can be mated to either front or all-wheel drive.

To amp up the sportiness factor even higher, Acura is introducing a new A-Spec version for the TLX V6 that is available with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The TLX A-Spec gets a unique front fascia, round LED fog lights, aggressive side sills, rear diffuser accented by large, round dual-exhaust finishers and gloss black decklid spoiler. It rides on exclusive, dark finish 19-inch wheels.
The TLX A-Spec also gets a sport-tuned suspension with more aggressive damper settings and a retuned electric power steering system. If you choose the TLX A-Spec with SH-AWD, you get a stiffer spring rate and rear stabilizer bar.
On the inside the TLX A-Spec adds sportier seats that can be covered in either red or black leather with Alcantara inserts, a new steering wheel, wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats and red ambient lighting.
The 2018 TLX is the first Acura to feature a refreshed dual-screen user On Demand Multi-Use Display interface that supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Sirius XM 2.0.
“We’ve really upped the ante in terms of styling, emotion and road presence, more effectively communicating the TLX’s dynamic capabilities,” said Jon Ikeda, Acura vice president and general manager.
