From the front you’ll notice the 2017 Rogue’s face has been updated with a new V-motion grille and restyled bumper with integrated fog lights. The rear also gets some smaller updates thanks to new taillights. Lastly there are new 17-inch, 18-inch and 19-inch wheels and three new exterior colors.
Inside the front center console has been redesigned, there are new cloth seats miterer and a new D-shaped steering wheel. Heated cloth seats and a remote engine start are now standard on the SV grade. On the safety front, Intelligent Cruise Control and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection systems are now available.
The new Rogue Hybrid is available in both front and AWD versions. It’s powered by a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and a 30 kW electric motor and a compact lithium-ion battery. The hybrid system’s gasoline engine is rated at 141 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque, while the 30 kW electric motor is rated at 40 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid system generates a total 176 horsepower.
The 2017 Rogue Hybrid will be rated at 33 mpg city, 35 mpg highway and 34 mpg combined for the front-wheel drive model, while all-wheel drive models will be rated at 31 mpg city, 34 mpg highway and 33 mpg combined. Those specs are slightly better than the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, which is rated at 30 mpg city, 34 mpg highway and 32 mpg combined.
