2017 Hyundai IONIQ will be offered in electric, plug-in hybrid and hybrid versions

Hyundai has released the first teaser of its new IONIQ electric model that will be offered with three electrified powertrains when it arrives next year.

Hyundai has released the first teaser of its new IONIQ electric model that will be offered with three electrified powertrains when it arrives next year. With a choice of a fully-electric, plug-in hybrid or hybrid powertrains, the IONIQ will be first vehicle yet to be offered with three electric powertrains.
Hyundai hasn’t released the official specs for the three powertrains, but we do know that the IONIQ will be based on an all-new platform.

The IONIQ will be revealed next month in Korea and its U.S. debut will happen at the New York Auto Show in March.
