2016 Hyundai Elantra gets new Value Edition

Hyundai has announced the introduction of a new Value Edition model for the 2016 Elantra. The new Value Edition provides a $1,000 savings by bundling features like, 16-inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, heated front seats and proximity key with push-button start.

Pricing for the Elantra Value Edition starts at $19,700 plus the $825 destination. The Limited model also now comes with more standard features, like dual automatic temperature control and push-button start. Pricing for the Elantra Limited starts at $21,700, the same price as last year.

The Elantra continues to come standard with a 1.8L four-cylinder with 145 horsepower and 130 lb-ft. of torque.

2016 Hyundai Elantra Sedan

Stepping up to the Elantra Sport gets you a 173-hp 2.0L four-cylinder that can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The Elantra Sport now comes standard with cloth seats, instead of the leather seats on the 2015 model. It also loses its standard sunroof, to drop the entry price for the Elantra Sport to $20,250.
