Cadillac has announced that the 2016 ATS and CTS models are going to be offered with a new 3.6L V6 engine.
The new 335-hp V6 features cylinder deactivation technology enabling it to seamlessly switch from six-cylinder to four-cylinder operation under light loads to improve its fuel efficiency. A start/ stop system is also used to reduce emissions and fuel consumption by automatically turning off the engine when the car is stationary, such as at red light. Cadillac also says that its new eight-speed automatic transmission will improve fuel efficiency.
