Buick is set to expand its lineup with the addition of a rebadged version of the Opel Cascada convertible and the Envision crossover that you see here. The Buick Envision was just unveiled at the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show in China.
Buick hasn’t made the official announcement, but it is expected that the Envision crossover will be offered in the U.S. as a 2016 model and will slot in between the current Encore and Enclave crossovers. From the looks of it the Envision will go head to head with a growing number of small luxury crossovers, like the Acura RDX, BMW X3 and Audi Q3.
In China, the Envision is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 260 horsepower and 247 lb-ft. of torque that is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The 2016 Envision will most likely arrive in the U.S. in the first half of 2015.
