2015 Dodge Viper SRT Gets New GT and TA 2.0 Versions

The 2015 Dodge Viper SRT is getting a few updates for the new model year, which includes the addition of a two new versions and a little more horsepower under the hood.

The 2015 Dodge Viper SRT is getting a few updates for the new model year, which includes the addition of a two new versions and a little more horsepower under the hood.
Slotting in between the base Viper and the Viper GTS, the new Viper GT adds features like a diver-selectable suspension system, Alcantara and Nappa leather seats and a Bilstein DampTronic Select suspension system. Dodge has not announced the pricing for the Viper GT.

The Viper TA version returns as the Viper TA 2.0. It now sports new rear wing and carbon fiber corner splitters on the front to give the Viper more downforce. Dodge claims that the compared to the 2014 Viper TS, the Viper TA 2.0’s downforce has increased from 278 pounds at 150 mph to 400 pounds. The spring rates, sway bars and dampers have also been tweaked in addition to the braking system.

The Viper TA 2.0 is available in three limited-edition colors: Competition Blue, Yorange, and Venom Black.

Although it would be nice if the 2015 Viper would pack more power thanks to the new 707-hp Hellcat engine, but that’s not in the cards. The 2015 Viper makes due with the same 8.4L V10 engine, which is now rated at 645 horsepower, five more horsepower than last year. It’s torque figure remains the same at 600 lb-ft.
