Compared to the GTI, the concept gets a more aggressive front bumper, new side sills and a rear diffuser. There’s also a bigger roof mounted spoiler out back. Although the exterior changes are minimal, the updates under the hood will likely satisfy GTI fans, since the concept gets a nice upgrade over the GTI’s standard 210-horsepower. The concept is still powered by the same turbocharged 2.0L, but its output has been raised to 261 horsepower. An overboost function will also raise that number to 287 horsepower for short periods. The GTI Clubsport concept keeps the front-wheel-drive layout of the GTI.

VW hasn’t released any performance specs.

The production version of the GTI Clubsport concept will go on sale in early 2016, but VW hasn’t announced if it will be available in the U.S.
