The new “S” version of the Golf GTI Clubsport is making its world premiere at the GTI event at Lake Wörthersee this week. The GTI Clubsport S is powered the familiar 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that has been tweaked to generate a total 310 horsepower and 280 lb-ft. of torque. The Golf GTI Clubsport S also weighs 66 pounds less than the non-S version thanks to the deletion of the rear seats and a few other weight saving techniques.

VW is only going to produce 400 units, but sadly don’t expect any of them to come to the U.S.
